Winter Break!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

I'm at home now, in PA, which means I've had a lot of time to create. Here are some of my recent pieces which will be listed in my Etsy Shop, if they haven't been already:

WoW!

Everything has been so crazy with college and now with finals... I've had so little time to create!

But here is a bracelet that I managed to list recently:

It can be found in my ETSY SHOP

Do keep checking my Etsy shop throughout the Winter. After this week I'll have much more time on my hands!

And as always, thank you for looking :]

Hello Again!

I'm pretty much settled in my apartment style dorm in Chicago. I'm starting to create again on a steady schedule (hopefully it will stay this way).

Success!

A few of my pieces are now featured in the cases at Pas Jewelry in Cranberry, PA.

If you're familiar with the area, you should definitely check it out. The jeweler is the sweetest man alive and if he isn't super busy, he'll gladly talk to you. :]

I feel so accomplished.

Polymer clay use

Lately I've been trying to get more detailed with my polymer clay creations. I think I succeeded with one of them.

I made the shape of the fish and it took a while to make all of the little small pieces into scales, but I think the effect was worth it. I really enjoyed making this, so I hope it does well in my etsy shop.

Opportunity!

My father bought my mother and I gold bracelets for Christmas one year and we've kept in contact with the jeweler because he is the sweetest man in the world. He owns his own jewelry shop not too far from my parent's house. Anyway, we dropped by the other day because I said I would give him a poem that I've written.

While we were there my mom jokingly showed him a bracelet that I made and he told me to bring in some more of my pieces.

He might put them in the cases of his shop.

I don't remember the last time I've been so scared/excited.

He has been doing this for 30 years and he actually complimented me on my work. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out. It could be the start of something for me- besides just selling on Etsy.

Wish me luck all of you out there in blog land.

I've fallen in love with little polymer clay rings ... I'm sure there will be many more to come.

I was experimenting with rolling the clay and saw that it looked sort of like the center of a blossom... and before I knew it I came up with this

I'm pretty happy with it. I mixed a few colors so it's swirly. I put it up on my etsy... the flowers are really fun to make. Expect more :D

I'm a sucker for cute things with buggy eyes

Such as Wall E ... but also, I've recently made some polymer clay creations that also have buggy eyes (chickie earrings etc). Now I also have a ring.

Polymer Clay Spree

It's true... many people have told me that polymer clay is addicting. I didn't believe them and now it's too late!

I purchased some ring blanks off of etsy ... I'm hoping to create some nice rings by attaching polymer clay blossoms. This should be interesting.

Fall is just around the corner!

And along with that comes my favorite holiday: Halloween.

So I thought I would get a jump start on that and I made some pumpkins out of polymer clay. They turned out rather nicely so I made them into earrings!

These cuties can be found in my Etsy Shop

My Garden

The garden at my parents house is full of sunflowers and huge elephant ear plants... along with that also comes bugs.

I think bugs are adorable... and thus they were the inspiration for my latest creation:

I recently listed the item in my Etsy shop. So if you're interested in it, it can be found there :D

Water

As I've said ... water inspires me. So lately I've been working with blue. I felt like making a really long necklace and after a particularly nice hike this is what I came up with:

My neighbor has this lake on her property... she doesn't mind if I come over to get inspired :D

Polymer Clay

I've been experimenting with polymer clay lately, and just fired some things today. I think they turned out alright and I actually ended up making earrings out of some of the pieces. Here are the results:

They can be found in my Etsy shop. Just listed them. Please check them out as well as all of my other goodies :D

In Need of a Vacation

Lately I've been wanting to go somewhere tropical.

I think it's reflected in a lot of my work lately. I love working with shells and making clusters of them on earrings. Natural beauty is the best kind.

These earrings can be found in my etsy shop:

Inspirations

My main inspiration for my creations is nature. I love water and beaches.

I can't sit in front of a tv for more than about an hour a day (hopefully not even that). I'd much rather be outside.
